According to research, the current tutoring industry in North America is upwards of $10 billion annually and continuing to grow at a healthy pace.  This growth is fuelled by such things as the continuing decline in funding of public education, an increase in high-stakes standardized testing, increasing competition to get into many college and university programs, and the 'No Child Left Behind' initiative.  Many families now need opportunities for learning above and beyond the regular school day to help their children meet the standards set before them and get a competitive edge above the pack. ​
