Plan ~ Do ~ Check ~ Act​

PLANNING with the end in mind is a habit we take very seriously here at Blossom.  When you have made the decision for your child to join our after school program, the process begins for us to get to know the academic hopes you have for your child, and our evaluation of how best to get them there.  We ask that you provide us with a copy of your child’s most recent report card, if possible, and we ask that you work with your child to complete a survey about his/her strengths, weaknesses, interests and learning styles.  We will also conduct our own screening assessment which covers their reading, writing and math performance.  All this ensures that we are able to start working with your child at his/her current level of performance and create a custom learning plan to make desired gains.

Development of a Custom Learning Plan​
Your child’s PLAN is designed specifically to address his or her learning needs or enrichment acceleration.  No two children are alike; therefore no two plans are either.  Based on initial assessments, we will develop an individualized plan for your child that will best help them achieve their learning goals.

Plan Implemented with Trained and Qualified Teachers

This plan will then be utilized by highly-competent, certified teachers who will regularly monitor the student’s progress toward their goals.  Our NYS-certified teachers will DO what is necessary to provide the personal attention and guidance to ensure your child has true understanding and retention of each skill learned.

Progress Analysis with 360 Degree Communication​
At Blossom, we will CHECK your child’s performance against their individualized plan and upload the results into our on-line tracking and communication tools.  You will be able to look at your child’s progress on a regular basis.  Through these tools the parents, child and teacher will all be on the same page.

​​Modification of Plan, as needed​
As your child progresses, their needs may change or shift.  This will require us to adjust our original plan and ACT in the best interests of your child’s growth and development.  At any point in time your child’s individual plan can be adjusted to better serve his/her academic  needs.
